Koto and shamisen
How about to play a soft and beautiful sounds?

We will hold a workshop for those who experience koto and shamisen for the first time.

In addition to the joy of being able to play one song with a Japanese instrument, from the unique way of taking Japanese music, 
you can learn and enjoy manner.

Those who wish to participate in the concert next spring with professionals of koto, shamisen, shakuhachi, and hayashi.
You can also experience a full-scale stage performance (ensemble).

Recommended for first-time those who want to try it out, and those who want to have a new hobby.

A total of 10 koto and shamisen workshops to be held from October 2021 to February 2022.

[Participants] Beginners of elementary school age and above. Adults can also participate.

[Schedule] 10 times in total from October 2021 to February 2022

* The dates vary depending on the district. We will inform you after applied.

* 10 times includes ensemble practice. Check the number of times and schedule with the instructor in charge of each district

Please acknowledge.

[Participation fee] 1,000 yen each time (as a musical instrument rental fee)

* Koto picks (tume) and shamisen plectrum (bachi) required for performance will be rented. If you would like to purchase

Please contact the instructor in charge of each district. (About 3,300 yen to 4,480 yen).    

      * A place to participate in the concert held on February 27, 2022 after the workshop

In addition, a separate participation fee of 3,000 yen is required. The dress code for the concert is Kimono (Houmon-gi, 

and furisode). The preparation fee is not included in the presentation fee.

If you would like to rent a Kimono, we will inform you.

[Application period] September 2021 to the end of October

* Since the classes will start in October, we recommend that you apply during September.

   If you apply in October, you may be asked to join in the middle depending on the district.

 文化庁では、子ども達が身近な地域で質の高い多様な文化芸術活動の機会を確保できるよう、地域の文化施設や文化芸術団体、芸術系教育機関等が中心となって、新たな受け皿となる「地域文化活動推進事業及び地域文化クラブ(仮称)」を創設することになりました。私共は、文化庁から委託を受け、モデル事業を実施し、課題や手法を分析・検証するお手伝いをしております。

​ 具体的には、豊かな感性や情操を養うことを目的に、日本固有の文化である和楽器の体験学習を授業の中で行います。

1)箏の歴史や名称についての説明

2)箏演奏の体験学習

​3)模範演奏の鑑賞

*箏は1面につき1畳ほどのスペースが必要です

*座奏か立奏かを選択してください(上記写真参照)

*​座奏の場合は座布団やタオルなどの敷物、立奏の場合は椅子をご用意ください
